Project 1 – Day 10 – For the SlamIdol Podcast

Well, we’ve made it to submission day! Today, Sep 9th, is the deadline that Simon of the Slam Idol Podcast and I agreed upon. He’s submitted a poem to me and I have submitted one to him. You will hear Simon’s poem on tomorrow’s “Second Sunday” show and my poem on an upcoming Slam Idol [...]

Project 1 – Day 9 – For SlamIdol

I didn’t change much on the poem, so I think this version will be close to the final. Although, it is still wide open until I do the actual recording. I may decide that a line doesn’t read right when recited.
“Final” version: Hurricane ver. 6
The audio file talks mainly about change and how we as poets [...]

Project 1 – Day 5 – Slam Idol

Hey, like Simon, I’m putting this one online just before midnight. I was just listening to his 3 Sep audio-blog while I was mixing this. I actually recorded this while my current Cloudy Day Art show was being converted to an MP3.
Here’s the latest text: Hurricane ver. 3

Project 1 – Day 4 – Slam Idol

One week left until I have to submit my poem “Hurricane” to the Simon and the Slam Idol Podcast audience. Wow, time flies…
Changed the voice and the perspective of the poem a bit this time. I still haven’t gotten past the first scene yet, but I think I will make some good progress tomorrow.
I can [...]
